Questions
What files can I upload?
MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, and WEBM files up to 100 MB. For anything larger, paste a public URL to the file and we fetch it directly.
How long does it take?
Most files come back in a minute or two. The page waits while the transcript runs and shows it as soon as it is ready.
What does it cost?
Every account gets 60 free minutes of audio a month with no card. Pro is $19 a month for unlimited transcripts, billed through Stripe, cancel any time from the billing portal.
Is my recording stored?
Your file is sent to the transcription engine and is not kept on our servers. Transcript history is on the way; until it lands, copy or download each transcript before you leave the page.
What happened to the other Kai the Scribe tools?
They are paused and will come back one at a time. Transcription is the first. For lecture notes as a student, use VocalScribe. For blog, script, and email generation today, use Build With Kai.
